Room to Reward

A Rising Star for Wimbledon! Annie Watson who grew up in Newquay and is already making waves in youth tennis academies. Having recently qualified through both club and county stage to the national finals of the Road to Wimbledon competition, Annie gave us a little insight into her life on and off court.

 

Brad Pauls

Brad Pauls also known as The Newquay Bomb and the first Cornishman in 100 hundred years to win a Professional Boxing title. Brad recently made history when he defeated his last opponent to become the new Southern Area Champion in London.

Poppy Clemow

Poppy Clemow, a rising tennis talent from Newquay, is clinching victories in two categories at the recent Tennis County Championships. Poppy’s journey to success is marked by a deep dedication that began remarkably early - she first picked up a racket at just two years old! Her passion for the sport has only grown since, as she continues to train rigorously twice a week under the guidance of her coach.

 

Beach cleans

We are passionate about helping to keep our beaches clean, removing harmful plastics and domestic rubbish from our beaches will help to ensure that fish and other marine animals do not swallow pieces of plastic and that we have beautiful clean beaches for our holidays.

Wild flower banks

In partnership with the Pentire Residents Association, a community of passionate locals dedicated to preserving and promoting what Pentire has to offer, the local hotel has funded the floral seeding to enhance the look of the existing natural greenery along the Cornish coastline that both of Philema’s Cornwall hotels overlook.

The Mustard Tree 

Throughout the year we host a selection of events and challenges in order to help raise money for our chosen charities of the year. Mustard Tree, a fund under the umbrella of Plymouth Hospitals Charity (reg no. 1048679). Funds that are raised for Mustard Tree are spent on medical, practical, emotional and financial support to improve quality of life and help people live life well despite their illness.

Blake Silver

Sponsoring local talent like Blake Silver means championing dedication, resilience, and an inspiring journey to greatness. Blake competed on one of tennis’s grandest stages, the Wimbledon courts. His experience at SW19 in the Play Your Way to Wimbledon national finals, is a testament to his remarkable potential and commitment.

 

Renal Unit Treliske

There are 25 staff who work on the unit at RCHT, the staff who choose a career in renal nursing need to be caring and compassionate, motivating and understanding. Renal failure is a demanding chronic illness that people sometimes find difficult to live with
