A new floral arrangement for the local community
We’re giving back to the local community.
Our coastal hotel overlooking the famous Fistral Beach and exclusively for adults, Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa has generously donated funds to plant Cornish Wildflower on the entirety of Esplanade Road in Newquay.
In partnership with the Pentire Residents Association, a community of passionate locals dedicated to preserving and promoting what Pentire has to offer, the local hotel has funded the floral seeding to enhance the look of the existing natural greenery along the Cornish coastline that both of our Cornwall hotels overlook.
In the hopes to ensure that the natural beauty of the area is preserved, Chair of the Pentire Residents Association Murray Johnstone says “The PRA is delighted to be working with Philema Hospitality Management, and we are extremely grateful for their generous sponsorship. This means we can advance the improvement of the Esplanade Green and surrounds at a much greater pace than we had imagined, and we look forward to seeing the results in a few months’ time.”
The “Coastal Areas Wildflower Seeds” have been chosen due to the British native wildflower species which include Haresfoot Clover and Evening Primrose and are due to bloom ready for the Summer season, when the hotel and local area welcome an inflow of guests.
The new flowering will also be a welcomed addition for the wildlife that currently house in these areas, contributing to an essential healthy ecosystem that we so naturally rely on.
Operations Manager Grant Purvis at the Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa says “As a local family-run company, we’re thrilled to be able to provide such a beautiful contribution to the natural landscape that already exists for our guests, members and local residents to enjoy. The new seeding will ensure a more aesthetic surrounding of our sea-front location that will continue to flourish over time.”
