NEW Affinity Cancer Experience at Fistral Spa

Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa launch wellness experience for those living with or affected by a medical condition.

We’re please to launch the GAIA Affinity Cancer Experience, a unique spa journey that is suitable for anyone living with a medical condition such as cancer, MS, Parkinson’s, psoriasis, rosacea, anxiety and burns at Fistral Spa.

The bespoke treatment launched at GAIA Skincare’s flagship spa Gaia Spa Boringdon in 2021, with the Cornish spa following suit, recognising the importance for total wellness not only for the body, but also the mind by providing guests an escape, and to feel looked after. 

Designed with a focus on natural wellness, guests can choose the experience duration from 45, 60 or 90 minutes, combining a nurturing foot ritual and individually bespoke full body massage as well as personalised homecare and wellness advice. 

Specially trained GAIA therapists conduct a gentle consultation with each guest, adapting the journey based on their current personal needs. The treatment duration, positioning, pressure, and direction of flow are some of the factors that will differ from individual to individual, making each journey completely unique. 

The Affinity Cancer Experience is divided into three categories: Nurture, Nourish & Thrive, which are then each tailored to allow for individual adjustments.

Nurture being the gentlest, for guests that are fatigued, anxious or who may be too sensitive for extensive touch or firm pressure. Over the towel compressions, static holds and light product applications are gentle and slow, lasting no more than 60 minutes to prevent overstimulation.

Nourish allows for medium pressure, working on tension in the body and pressure point massage – lasting between 45 – 90 minutes, depending on the individual guest. 

Thrive allows for medium to deeper pressure, with appropriate adjustments to direction of flow – lasting up to 90 minutes.
